Yesterday, on her official website, J.K.Rowling announced her new book "The Ickabog".
For all of us who loved Harry Potter, the author has announced that her new book "The Ickabog" will be released in 34 parts online, and the final book should be available in print in English in November 2020, followed later by translation into other languages.
J.K. Rowling said in her announcement that she started working on a book more than a decade ago. But the book was put aside till recently, and it is her contribution to cheer children in a current lock-down situation.
This is how she's got an idea of publishing it for free online in parts. So every weekday, between 26 May and 10th July 2020 she will be publishing a new chapter online. You can already read uploaded chapters on the official website.
This not everything! The author calls younger kids, aged 7-12, to take part in the illustration competition! The book will need illustrations for all chapters, but she invites readers not to get bounded by this, but let your ideas, imagination and artistic talent flow. Join the illustration competition and maybe your drawings will end in the official printed book!
