The Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of victims of the Holocaust during the WWII as well as other genocide victims in Cambodia (1975 – 1979), Rwanda (1994), Bosnia (1995), Darfur (2003 – present).
During the Nazi Persecution (1933 ‑ 1945) not only Jewish, but also Roma, people with disabilities, homosexuals, communists and other political or ideological thinkers were targeted.
Not all adherd to the Nazis' movement and there were lots of people that helped to rescue Jewish and other vicitims. Some highly ranking military officers were even planning a plot againts the dictatorial leadership of Hitler. We must never forget history and facts.
